Their day began with a heartfelt ceremony at Christ Church Episcopal, the oldest Episcopal church in Georgia, where generations of history created a meaningful foundation for the start of their marriage. From the moment Gena walked down the aisle, the tone was set: classic, intentional, and deeply personal.
One of the most touching elements of the day was woven into the Gena’s attire. She honored her family in a beautiful way by incorporating lace from her mother’s wedding gown into her veil, creating a once-in-a-lifetime moment during the morning of the wedding. She also carried a handkerchief dating back to 1909, a treasured heirloom passed down through generations of women in her family. These thoughtful details added layers of sentimentality, making the day feel not only special, but deeply rooted in legacy.
Following the ceremony, guests made their way to Savannah Country Club for a reception that perfectly complemented the couple’s vision. The aesthetic was effortlessly elegant, with a warm coastal winter palette featuring neutral tones, champagne bridesmaid dresses, and Harvey Designs florals in burnt orange, soft blush, and crisp white. The design struck a beautiful balance: refined and classic, yet inviting and seasonally rich.
As the evening unfolded, the celebration shifted into a high-energy party that reflected Gena and Dalton’s fun-loving spirit. The dance floor came alive with playful details like silver pom poms and oversized cutouts of their beloved pups, Willis and Georgia- bringing personality and fun into every moment! It was the perfect contrast to the day’s earlier traditions, creating a wedding that felt both meaningful and truly unforgettable.
