Some weddings feel effortlessly joyful from start to finish, and Kristin and Francis “FD’s” celebration was exactly that. Set against the charm and character of Savannah, their day blended meaningful history, vibrant design, and a lively, modern energy that carried through every moment!

Before the wedding day even began, guests were welcomed with a truly unforgettable experience. The couple hosted their welcome party at the iconic Sorrell–Weed House—a location deeply tied to the groom’s family history.

As descendants of the historic (and famously haunted) home, it was a meaningful and uniquely Savannah way to kick off the weekend. The setting created a memorable start to a celebration that beautifully honored both legacy and place. For the wedding day, Kristin and FD chose the stunning JW Marriott Savannah Plant Riverside District—a venue known for its ability to merge historic architecture with bold, modern design.

The space set the tone for the entire celebration: timeless, yet anything but traditional. With the expert planning and execution by Elegant Savannah Weddings, every detail came together seamlessly, allowing the couple and their guests to fully enjoy the day.

Kristin and FD leaned into a bright, joyful palette that felt perfectly suited for a summer soirée in Savannah. Colorful blooms brought energy and movement to the design, creating a vibrant contrast against the venue’s architectural textures. The overall aesthetic felt romantic yet playful, an elevated take on seasonal color that never felt overdone. One of the most eye-catching elements was the bridal party styling. Bridesmaids wore a mix of soft green hues in varying styles and silhouettes, adding dimension while keeping the look cohesive and effortlessly elegant!

Beyond the beautiful details, what truly defined this wedding was the atmosphere. It was a celebration built around connection… good food, great music, and a packed dance floor that carried the energy late into the evening. Every moment felt intentional yet relaxed.

Kristin and Francis “FD” created a wedding that felt deeply personal while embracing everything that makes Savannah such a magical place to celebrate.

From a historic welcome party to a vibrant, modern reception, their weekend was a true reflection of who they are: warm, joyful, and full of life.

A colorful summer soirée, rooted in Old Savannah romance, and brought to life in the most unforgettable way!
