Week after week, our team receives and showcases breathtaking weddings from all across Savannah + Coastal Georgia, all courtesy of the immensely talented wedding vendors and lovely couples who submit to us. Each month, our editorial team selects one spectacular wedding to highlight—one that stands above the rest for its uniqueness and beauty. For our September Vows That Wow, we are so excited to feature Maggie and Hayes Davidson!

Maggie and Hayes’ wedding was a perfect mix of playful energy, vibrant style, and timeless Southern elegance. From morning antics with bridesmaids in hot pink pajamas, to a breathtaking clear-top tent reception on a historic low country estate, their day was full of personality, laughter, and unforgettable moments. Every detail,  from the florals and cocktails to the cakes and private moments, reflected their love, their families, and their joy in celebrating together.

THE PERFECT VENUE TO SET THE TONE

HollyOaks on the Marsh, a historic low country estate built over 80 years ago, offered the ultimate backdrop. Nestled on 18 acres, the property features expansive lawns, lush heirloom gardens, and sweeping views of the marsh. With its relaxed Southern charm and elegant spaces, the estate was perfect for both intimate moments and grand celebrations — from the heartfelt bourbon dig to the glamorous clear-top tent reception.

LUSH FLORALS & VIBRANT COLORS

Harvey Designs elevated the celebration with lush arrangements in soft pinks, crisp whites, and delicate hints of blue, perfectly complementing the bridesmaids’ colorful dresses. The florals were thoughtfully placed throughout the venue, weaving the day’s vibrant palette into every corner and creating a cohesive, elegant aesthetic.

SIGNATURE COCKTAILS & SWEET DETAILS

Guests enjoyed creative, handcrafted cocktails from Shaken & Stirred Mixology, whose team brought creativity, precision, and entertainment to every drink! From custom concoctions to perfectly executed classics, their bartending elevated the reception into an experience that was both stylish and spirited. The celebration also featured two show-stopping cakes by Vanilla and the Bean, artfully crafted with attention to every tier and detail. Bride Maggie shared, “We had two Norwegian wedding cakes (Kransekake) that my Aunt Becca made. This was in addition to our regular wedding cake. It is tradition to have the bride and groom pull the cake and see how many rings come off — the number of rings represents the number of children you will have. We had three! We also used Norwegian cake toppers on both Kransekake.”

THE COUPLE’S PERSPECTIVE

Reflecting on the planning process, Maggie said, “It is incredibly humbling to come and celebrate you and your marriage. It’s a day you can never recreate, so don’t sweat the small stuff and keep that at the forefront of your mind while planning. Also, having trusted vendors that were seasoned professionals made all the difference in bringing our vision to life.” The couple credits Sophie Longwater from Dapper Event Co. as the most invaluable vendor — her calm, organized, and knowledgeable presence ensured the wedding ran flawlessly, especially with the majority of guests traveling from out of town.

A CELEBRATION TO REMEMBER

From playful morning antics to elegant receptions and private moments, Maggie and Hayes’ wedding struck the perfect balance between fun, personality, and Southern sophistication. Every detail, every vendor, and every personal touch made it a celebration the couple and their guests will cherish forever.  Maggie shared, “If I had to pick just one favorite memory, I would say the time spent with my husband immediately following the ceremony. Hayes and I didn’t do a first look, so the ceremony was the first time we saw each other. We drove from the church to the venue just the two of us in an old classic car and we talked about what our days were like, the ceremony, and scooted all around Savannah, all while our driver kept honking and yelling out the window that we were newlyweds to the crowds on the street.”

Congratulations to the new Mr. and Mrs. Davidson! 🥂
