A Celebration That Felt Like Them
For Tyler and Martavius, planning their wedding was about more than creating a beautiful event. It was about making intentional choices that reflected their relationship and the community they have built together.
When asked what they learned throughout the planning process, they shared:
“We learned how well we are at planning things together and that creating a beautiful wedding weekend is about making choices that truly reflect who you are as a couple and the community we built together!”
That approach could be felt throughout the entire celebration, from the design details to the memorable moments shared with their closest friends and family.
Florals That Brought Their Vision to Life
One vendor in particular stood out to the couple: florist Breanna Roberts, who locally grows her own flowers.
Tyler and Martavius shared:
“Our amazing florist Breanna Roberts (who grows her own flowers locally) wins MVP of the day! From one simple meeting, she was able to curate a number of floral ideas that were somehow exactly what we’d envisioned and really brought a special touch to the day.”
The florals complemented the celebration beautifully while adding another personal, locally inspired element to the wedding day.
A First Dance No One Will Forget
Of all the moments from their wedding, Tyler and Martavius’ favorite was their couples dance — and it was anything but ordinary.
Choreographed by their dear friend Nate Myles, the dance ended with a surprise flash mob featuring friends and family.
They recalled their favorite wedding-day memory as:
“Our couples dance (which was choreographed by our dear friend Nate Myles and culminated in a flash mob of friends and family).”
It was the perfect example of what made their celebration so special: joyful, personal and centered around the people they love most.
