With Valentine’s Day just around the corner, we’re thrilled to announce the finalists of Wed Society Savannah + Coastal Georgia’s annual Looks of Love contest!
There’s truly nothing more heartwarming than reading a love story and seeing beautiful photos that capture the special bond between two people. Over the past few weeks, our team has read and admired the many amazing love stories shared to us and have selected the top 8 couples to enter our Instagram voting competition kicking off on Wednesday, February 11th! Keep on reading to get a jumpstart on reading the incredible love stories of these 8 couples and tune in each day to @wedsociety.savannah to vote for your favorite couples and love story. The winner will be announced on Saturday, February 14th and treated to a date night on us!

MANDY + BENJAMIN

“Ben and I first fell for each other as teenagers—young, sweet, and full of possibility. Life took us on separate paths, filled with growth, hardship, and lessons we didn’t yet understand. Years later, after heartbreak and healing, God brought us full circle. In July 2023, I moved home for a fresh start, and within weeks, we reconnected—stronger, wiser, and ready. What began as young love became a second chance rooted in faith, purpose, and deep devotion. Now we’re building a life together, grateful for the journey that led us home to each other.”
CARA + MIKE

“Mike and I met during covid at a mutual friend’s birthday party. We hit it off instantly and the rest was history. Our engagement was a total surprise. I was out at a wedding shower for my cousin and Mike was going to lay low at our house because he wasn’t feeling good. Little did I know, he was going to propose! Mike set up the house with rose petals, flowers, candles, balloons, and pictures of us and our adventures from over the years. When I walked in the front door, he had music playing and got down on one knee. It was the easiest yes! Afterwards, he surprised me and had both our families and our best friends over for a celebration. It was the best day and I cannot wait to be his wife!!!”

Ashley booked what she thought would be a couple’s photoshoot, but Colby had a surprise proposal planned!

“Steven and I met at a bar in Atlanta and it was not your traditional story of ‘love at first sight’. It took a couple of dates for me to break down my walls and accept that this was actually a genuinely good man with good intentions. After our third date I knew he was the one. We’ve never stopped hanging out ever since.”
MIRANDA + MARQUES

“We met back in 2023 on Hinge, that’s right, hinge! We both moved back to our home state of Ohio due to Covid in 2020, had a few mutual friends but did not know each other. After matching and agreeing to a Friday night out, we had the best first date at Pins Mechanical followed by the infamous chicken tenders at Town Hall in Cleveland, OH (iykyk) and never looked back. Our professional lives had us pick up and move to Fort Mill, SC in 2024 and we couldn’t love it here more! We are so excited for our destination wedding in Savannah, GA this May to celebrate our love with our closest family and friends. The Inman’s 05.09.2026 can’t come soon enough!”
ALLISON + MATTHEW

Allison never planned to meet the love of her life that night. In fact, she almost didn’t go at all, until her best friend begged her to come out and meet a group of guy friends for “just a fun night,” promising (and swearing) that none of them were “dating material.” Famous last words.
That’s where Matthew came in and the rest is history.
From that unexpected night out to seven years later, Allison and Matthew have built a life full of laughter, love, and a little chaos—made complete by their two dogs. Along the way, Allison finished nursing school, Matthew went back to earn his bachelor’s degree in construction, and together they kept choosing each other through every season.
Now they’re planning their dream Savannah wedding at The Westin in November 2026! Proof that sometimes the best love stories start when you least expect them (and when your best friend is very, very wrong).
NINA + ADITYA

“We first met at the hospital where we both work! After our initial encounter we actually happened to share a mutual patient and taking care of her together turned into the start of something special. From that very first meeting, we bonded instantly and became inseparable!”
MAKENZIE + GRANT

Grant and Makenzie met on the University of Georgia Rowing team. They lived next door to each other, but never dated in college. A few years later, they reconnected while coaching collegiate rowing, and have been together ever since. Grant and Makenzie both live in Athens, Georgia and work in healthcare. They enjoy spending time with friends and family, and traveling. The couple is excited to be married on January 23, 2027.
In the end, these eight love stories show that there’s no single formula for finding your person. Some connections happen in an instant, others build quietly over time — but each one carries its own rhythm and meaning.
They prove that love isn’t always picture-perfect or predictable. It grows through shared experiences, unexpected turns, and the moments that shape who we are. And in its own way, every story here is a reminder that when the right two people come together, it feels both entirely unique and completely meant to be.
