Kris and McCord’s wedding day was a beautiful reminder that the most meaningful celebrations are often the ones rooted in memory, intention, and love.
Set along the coast of St. Simons Island, their wedding unfolded in a place deeply connected to McCord’s heart – the very chapel she visited on retreats growing up, and the same spot where Kris later proposed.
It was a full-circle moment in every sense, made even more special by the fact that this was where they chose to say “I do.”
The couple’s celebration took place at Sea Palms Resort, where a soft Southern coastal aesthetic set the tone for the day. Warm breezes, natural textures, and a relaxed island feel created the perfect backdrop for a wedding that felt both elevated and deeply personal. From the beginning, this was a day built on meaning rather than excess, proof that thoughtful design and heartfelt moments always shine brightest.
One of the most special elements of the day was the abundance of beautiful DIY decor, lovingly created with help from family. Every detail carried intention, showing just how powerful, and stunning, DIY can be when done with love!
In true Southern fashion, guests were treated to a charming “coke-tail hour,” complete with classic sodas that added a playful and nostalgic touch. As the evening unfolded, a live band kept the energy high and the dance floor full, creating an atmosphere of celebration that lasted well into the night.
And just when the evening couldn’t get any sweeter, Kris and McCord made their grand exit the most St. Simons way possible – riding off together in a golf cart, surrounded by cheers and coastal vibes.
Adding an extra layer of meaning to the day, McCord planned her own wedding through her business, The Little Things – Host and Home, bringing her creative vision and thoughtful touch to every moment. One of our favorite details for sure 😍. The result was a celebration that felt effortlessly beautiful, deeply personal, and full of so much heart.
McCord’s dress, her veil, the florals, the signage… We can’t get enough.
Kris and McCord’s wedding was a true reflection of Southern charm, coastal elegance, and the magic that happens when love, family, and intention come together.
Congrats to McCord & Kris!
